After a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, meet in the lobby for a tour of Soweto, including school and church visits. Soweto is a township that emanated from Black people being forcefully re-settled far away from the city during the gold rush era.
On this tour, we drive past contrasting settlements whilst being told their history. Drive on Vilakazi Street, the most famous street in the whole world, which used to be home to two NOBEL Peace Prize Winners (Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu). Visit the home of Nelson Mandela, which is now a museum. Visit the site of the 1976 student uprising, The Hector Peterson Museum and Memorial. Sit for an African lunch at a trendy Restaurant in Soweto.

No visit to South Africa is complete without a visit to the world-famous Apartheid Museum. The Apartheid Museum opened in 2001 and is acknowledged as the pre-eminent museum in the world dedicated to 20th-century South Africa, at the heart of which is the apartheid story.
This museum is a must-visit for one to understand what the real apartheid South Africa was like. It is a beacon of hope showing the world how the country is coming to terms with its oppressive past and building on the future.
