She recalls the excitement she felt as a child upon being given a kitchen set on her 4th birthday by her grandma, who was such a loving and nurturing force in her life. Memories of these meals and moments shared with her grandma and loved ones fuelled her passion for cooking. Since she was old enough to cook by herself in the kitchen, Chef Ruby started ‘cooking up a storm’, and it was no surprise to her family and friends that she decided to pursue this passion by training as a professional chef. For the past 30-plus years, she has perfected her culinary skills and worked with several major international brands, clients, and individuals, delighting many a palate in the process.
