Day 2: Feb/17^th/2025      Arrival in Arusha and transfer to hotel, Welcome dinner

Day 3: Feb/18^th/2025     Materuni Waterfalls and coffee tour at the foothills of Kilimanjaro
Nestled in the patchwork foothills of magnificent Kilimanjaro lies the beautiful village of Materuni, home to our Chagga friends and famous for its aromatic, rich coffee. On this fragrant and fun day out, you’ll hike the short but challenging route to the Materuni Falls and you can stand under the water as they cascade into a tranquil pool that’s safe for bathing. And you’ll want to jump straight in – after getting sweaty (ok, glowing!) from your hike, there’s nothing more soothing than floating in the cool waters. (bring your swimsuit)

While at the Materuni Waterfalls & Coffee Tour, you’ll get a chance to make your own cup of coffee the proper way and you’ll find out the secret to the perfect cup of coffee from the local Chagga people. Enjoy your packed lunch after your swim and get ready to head back to town from this memorable experience of Materuni village. Day 4: Feb/19^th/2025     Arusha City tour: with CLE Seminar/Training at the Hotel in the Morning, followed by lunch, African Court, and City Tour in the afternoon

After Breakfast, attend a morning CLE seminar/training. Followed by a tour of the United Nations International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals which is in Arusha, and tour the “Mechanism” as it is known. The African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights is a few kilometers away, and we will visit there as well.

Day 5: Feb/20^th/2025   Arusha to Serengeti National Park                                                                             

Early morning departure at 6:00 am, we will set out for the endless open plains and stunning skies of the Serengeti. A scenic seven-hour drive, including full-day game drive together with a late evening game drive and we will later proceed to the lodge.  Day 6: Feb/21^st/2025    Serengeti National Park to Karatu                                                                         

We will depart early after breakfast with picnic lunch boxes for a game drive in the Serengeti National Park and later proceed to Karatu. Dinner and overnight at Acacia Farm Lodge   https://karatuacacialodge.com/

 

Day 7: Feb/22^nd/2025   Karatu to Arusha Airport then Dar Es Salaam                                                                       

Please note that due to the short domestic flight within Tanzania, we have weight restrictions of 40lbs and one checked bag

After breakfast, you will pack up, and at 8 am, you will be transferred to Arusha airport for your flight to Dar Es Salaam /Airport collection, and Dar Es Salaam city tour, dinner and overnight at the Golden Tulip Dar Es Salaam City  https://dar-city-center.goldentulip.com

 

Day 8: Feb/23^rd/2025   Fish market, Museum tour, City tour, and Bagamoyo Historical Site Tour Dar Es Salaam City Tour                                               

After breakfast, learn about Dar es Salaam’s past and present with a guided tour of the Tanzanian commercial capital. You’ll get the chance to explore the treasures at the National Museum, learn about a uniquely Tanzanian style of painting at the Tingatinga Arts Cooperative Society, and learn about the country’s tribal diversity at the Village Museum. Then you will proceed to Bagamoyo for a historical site tour and later drive back to Dar Es Salaam for dinner and overnight at the Golden Tulip Dar Es Salaam City  https://dar-city-center.goldentulip.com

 

Day 9: Feb/24^th/2025    Dar Es Salaam to Zanzibar                                                                     

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the ferry port for your ferry to Zanzibar.

Stone Town tour. The 2-hour tour will take you to the most scenic parts of the Old Town. This is the Cultural heart of Zanzibar. Our guides are experienced and very well conversant with the rich history of the Island. The Old Town oozes magic and mystery and shafts and sharp light jousts with deep shadows creating a fascinating world in the narrow streets.

UNESCO has recently declared Stone Town as one of the world’s historic cities, and it is now a protected area in Zanzibar. The tour takes you to the former site of the slave market; the cathedral (Cathedral Church of Christ) built in its site in 1874, the Sultan’s palace, and more. Relax back at the hotel after the tour.

• We must receive your cancellation notice in writing by email, fax, or overnight courier, and your cancellation date will be the date we receive your notice.
• Your decision not to participate in the Tour due to State Department warnings, fear of travel, or the like will be deemed a cancellation. If a flight or another delay for any reason prevents you from joining the Tour on the Tour start date, you will be considered a no-show, and we cannot provide a full or partial refund or credit toward a future Tour, but you may join the Tour late with advance notice if you wish.
