10 – 11 March
Depart the United States on your transatlantic overnight flight to Cape Town, your flight is via Doha, Qatar, and will arrive in South Africa on the 12th of March.
12 March
Arrive in Cape Town and transfer to Table Mountain a new member of the Natural Wonders of the World, with a magnificent view of the Cape Peninsula, high above the city. This will allow you to see all of Cape Town laid out for you. Then we will proceed to our home, The TAJ Cape Town Hotel, for 3 nights in Cape Town. Check-in and enjoy a Welcome drink and snack before you proceed to your room and relax. Tonight, enjoy a Welcome Dinner at one of the area’s top restaurants, Gold Restaurant, with food, drumming, music, and entertainment from all over Africa. (D)
13 March
After breakfast, depart to the famous South African Wine Country. Enjoy a wine pairing lunch and tastings at one of the Black Owned Wineries, then travel back to Cape Town to the Robben Island Ferry terminal, for a tour of Robben Island and the former prison that housed Nelson Mandela and other fighters against Apartheid. Your tour guide will be an actual former political prisoner. After, free time to visit the V&A Waterfront and Mall to enjoy one of Cape Town’s top mall, shopping, and entertainment areas, directly on the Atlantic Ocean. or join the bus to return to the hotel for a free evening. 14 March
After breakfast at the hotel, depart on a Full-day Cape Peninsula Tour, including Chapmans Peak Drive, Cape Point, a Funicular ride to the lighthouse, and Boulders Penguin Colony in Simonstown. See the famous African Penguins and the Cape of Good Hope.
We’ll stop for a seafood lunch during our tour. Return to the hotel for a free evening. (B,L)

15 March
After a buffet breakfast, check out, relax, and this afternoon transfer to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg. Arrival and transfer to Sandton. Check into the Sandton Sun, our hotel for the next 4 nights. Enjoy a Welcome Reception. Sandton is known for its affluence and is the most important business and financial district in South Africa; also great for shopping, dining, and nightlife. The Sandton Sun is connected to one of Africa’s top malls and entertainment areas, for dining, nightlife, and shopping. (B)
16 March
After a buffet breakfast at the hotel, meet in the lobby for a tour of Soweto, including a school and church visit (based on availability). Soweto is a township that emanated from Black people being forcefully re-settled far away from the city of Johannesburg during the gold rush era.
On this tour, we drive past contrasting settlements while being told their history. Drive on Vilakazi Street, the most famous street in the whole world, which used to be home to two NOBEL Peace Prize Winners (Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu). Visit the home of Nelson Mandela, which is now a museum. Visit the site of the 1976 student uprising, The Hector Peterson Memorial. Sit for an African lunch at a local restaurant in Soweto. Later, return to the hotel. Free evening. (B,D)

17 March
After a buffet breakfast, we’ll depart for a tour of Constitution Hall and the Apartheid Museum. Lunch included.
No visit to South Africa is complete without a visit to the world-famous Apartheid Museum. The Apartheid Museum opened in 2001 and is acknowledged as the pre-eminent museum in the world dedicated to 20th-century South Africa, at the heart of which is the apartheid story.
This museum is a must-visit for one to understand what the real apartheid South Africa was like. It is a beacon of hope showing the world how the country is coming to terms with its oppressive past and building on the future. Return to the hotel. (B)

18 March
After breakfast buffet at the hotel, meet in the lobby to depart and visit Lesedi Cultural Village for a tour and lunch. Situated within the Cradle of Humankind, the World Heritage Site home to the earliest traces of humanity, Lesedi is the living custodian of Africa’s history and its rich culture. This guided tour to the Lesedi Cultural Village offers the opportunity to experience the cultural traditions of several different peoples of Southern Africa.
Return to Sandton for another night to enjoy more of Sandton and Johannesburg. (B,L)

19 March
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and meet in the lobby and transfer to Pilanesberg National Park and the Ivory Tree Game Lodge, our home for the last two nights. Located in the Pilanesberg National Park, on the slopes of a 2-billion-year-old volcano, is home to Africa’s big five. Relax by the pool, head out for a late afternoon game drive, and enjoy dinner. Ivory Tree offers unparalleled comfort, in a malaria-free area.
This afternoon, enjoy a Game Drive to see all the animals and hopefully the “Big 5” that make South Africa their home. The game drives are done in “open” vehicles so everyone has a perfect view. Return and enjoy dinner. (B,L,D)

Sunrise Game Drive followed by buffet breakfast. Free time to relax and enjoy the lodge amenities, then lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive, followed by dinner. Relax at the bar and enjoy the animals that come to the areas outside of the lodge. Settle your accounts and back up your luggage as we leave early tomorrow. (B,L,D)
21 March
Please take the opportunity to enjoy our last Sunrise in South Africa. Enjoy breakfast before heading to the OR Tambo Airport in Johannesburg and your flight home. (B)

Change/Cancellation: Notice of change/cancellation must be made in writing to Advantage International, LLC, and your cancellation date will be the date we receive your notice. We must receive your cancellation notice in writing by email, fax, or overnight courier, and your cancellation date will be the date we receive your notice.
Your decision not to participate in the Tour due to State Department warnings, fear of travel, or the like will be deemed a cancellation. If a flight or another delay for any reason prevents you from joining the Tour on the Tour start date, you will be considered a no-show, and we cannot provide a full or partial refund or credit toward a future Tour, but you may join the Tour late with advance notice if you wish.
