When traveling, you can be exposed to various situations. I always worry about catching something when I hear someone sneeze or cough, especially in close quarters like on an airplane or a train. However, besides colds and the flu, there are other health issues to consider when traveling, such as cuts, bruises, headaches, muscle pain, and nausea. These non-urgent problems often require over-the-counter medications, which can be challenging to find when you’re on the go.
To prepare for any trip, long or short, I’ve created a list of over-the-counter medications that I always travel with and keep in my toiletry bag, or should I say, my Rx bag. I make sure to have it with me at all times, whether I’m on the plane, on a bus, or in my hotel room.
Over-The-Counter medicine list includes
- Cold and Flu Medicine
- Cough Drops or Suppressants
- Antihistamine
- Decongestant
- Anti-Diarrheal
- Antacid
- Motion Sickness Medicine
- Pain reliever
- Fever reducer or Acetaminophen
- Anti-inflammatory
- Mild Laxative
- Sleep Aid
- Anti-bacterial ointment
- Band-Aids
- Ace Bandage
- Alcohol wipes
In addition, I add the following for protective measures.
- Masks
- Hand sanitizers
- Disinfecting wipes
Be prepared and stay safe.
