I’ve been traveling a lot this year, and during this time, COVID protocols have changed and are still changing. Many COVID protocols and travel restrictions have been lifted and or eliminated altogether. Even countries that previously required vaccination have removed the requirement.
However, some protocols are still in place, so it’s important that you check the country’s site often for updated information.
The other thing to remember is that COVID is NOT a thing of the past, and it’s highly recommended that you still take precautions.
Here’s what you should know and do:
- Some countries have lifted all COVID travel restrictions.
- Many countries that no longer require a negative COVID test may still have the requirement that you are fully vaccinated.
- The definition of fully vaccinated can differ by country, and many have placed a minimum and maximum period on that vaccination. For example, a person must have had all their doses no less than 14 days prior to your arrival and no more than four months prior to your arrival. This means you may have to have a booster.
- Some institutes at the destination may still require you to wear a mask to enter. Therefore, you must still travel with a supply of masks and keep them on you when you’re out and about.
- It is highly recommended, and in some countries, it may be mandatory to have travel or international health insurance.
All in all, COVID is still here, and as we come upon the fall and winter seasons, some restrictions may re-appear. Stay up to date, stay healthy, and continue to take precautions.
Yours Truly,
